Job Title: Water Hygiene Service Engineer.

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire.

Salary / Benefits: £22k – £35k + Training + Benefits.

We are working closely with a leading name within the Water Hygiene / Legionella industry, who due to continued growth are now in the market for a Water Hygiene Service Engineer. You will be responsible for undertaking various L8 compliance duties such as calorifier blowdowns, water sampling and temperature monitoring, and cleaning and disinfecting of CWSTs on a mixed client base. The role would suit a dynamic engineer with a good attitude and eagerness to learn, who wishes to utilise their skills while working across the North London area. Alongside regional work our client can offer a competitive salary and the opportunity to progress within the company.

Consideration will be given to candidates from the following areas: St Albans, Enfield, Aylesbury, Hemel Hempstead, Watford, Hertford, Stevenage, Bishop Stortford, Cheshunt, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, Brackley.

Responsibilities

• Undertake routine water sampling and temperature monitoring.
• Flush little used outlets.
• Carry out cleans and disinfections of CWSTs.
• Perform calorifier blowdowns.
• Inspect tanks.
• Descals showerheads.
• Service failsafes and TMVs.
• Use handheld PDA to gather information from sites.
• Ensure client sites comply with ACoP L8 / HSG 274 guidelines.

Qualifications

• Present experience working for a Water Hygiene company, ideally hands‑on as an engineer.
• Well versed in relevant CoP L8 / HSG 274 guidelines.
• Familiarity with handheld PDA / IT systems.
