Job summary

SOCOTEC UK is seeking a proactive Water Hygiene Plumber to join our Environment & Safety team. You will support water hygiene monitoring services, bringing knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 to ensure safe, compliant water systems and reliable maintenance.

You'll work independently and as part of a team across diverse projects nationwide, using handheld IT devices to record data and follow established procedures. Full UK driving licence is required; join a company committed to growth and safety.

Qualifications

• Recognised NVQ/C&G plumbing qualification and knowledge of Legionella Control (L8) and HSG274.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to follow set methods and procedures.
• IT literacy with handheld devices.

We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Water Hygiene Plumber to join our Environment & Safety team. In this role, you’ll need the confidence to work independently, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. A background in water hygiene services, along with knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG 274, is essential to thrive in this position.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

• Clean and chlorination of tanks
• Chlorination of water systems
• TMV servicing including full servicing and fail-safe testing

Qualifications

To be a successful Water Hygiene Plumber, you should be able to demonstrate:

• The successful candidate will be required to hold a recognised NVQ/C&G plumbing qualification and have knowledge of Legionella Control (L8) and HSG274
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to follow set methods and procedures
• IT literacy with hand held devices
