Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Water Hygiene Engineer in Manchester to join a growing water hygiene and treatment provider. The role targets candidates with plumbing or water hygiene experience who want to advance in a safety-focused, supportive environment.

You will work on water hygiene tasks across commercial and public sector sites, with a company vehicle provided, a bonus scheme, and progression opportunities. This permanent role offers 37.5 hours per week with overtime available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a water hygiene or plumbing-related role.
• Relevant water hygiene training (essential).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong understanding of compliance, safety and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out water hygiene tasks across commercial and public sector sites
• Temperature monitoring, system flushing and water sampling
• TMV servicing, maintenance and remedial works
• Inspection, cleaning and disinfection of cold water storage tanks and calorifiers
• Shower head descaling and system disinfection
• Ensuring all works are completed in line with ACoP L8, HSG274, HTM 04-01 and WRAS guidelines
