Job summary

Brent Council is seeking a Contract and Quality Manager to lead its water hygiene programme across housing stock, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and high standards. You will oversee contractor performance and risk, while collaborating with teams to deliver compliant water systems.

The role supports gas safety compliance adjoined to water programmes, with hybrid working options and a strong benefits package. Experience with Legionella and HSG274 is essential.

Qualifications

• Legionella/water hygiene qualifications (ACoP L8) and experience with communal water systems to HSG274.
• Contract administration experience for mechanical service contracts and supervisory roles.
• Strong risk management, audits, inspections and regulatory reporting experience.
• Gas safety qualifications are desirable; experience in social housing gas management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the management and delivery of the water hygiene programme and remedial works.
• Assist Compliance Manager with communal gas safety compliance across housing portfolio.
• Oversee contractor performance, manage risks and ensure adherence to legislation and best practice.
• Collaborate with compliance disciplines to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant water systems.
• Embed innovation and sustainability into compliance strategies.
