Job summary

University of Nottingham is seeking a Water Feature Technician to maintain lakes, ponds and ornamental water features across campus, including water treatment, filtration, pump equipment and data monitoring.

NVQ2/City & Guilds Level 2 in Amenity Horticulture Grounds Practices or equivalent, plus a full driving licence and prior water feature experience are required. This permanent, full-time role is 36.25 hours per week, mostly Monday to Friday with occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ2 and/or City & Guilds Level 2 in Amenity Horticulture Grounds Practices or equivalent.
• Experience with ornamental water features including lakes and ponds in grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance of lakes, ponds and water features, including water treatment and plant maintenance.
• Inspect pipes for damage and leaks and monitor water and chemical levels.
• Operate and balance equipment and computer systems to ensure safe operation.
• Assist with general gardens maintenance including trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants.
