Job summary

Binnies, part of the RSK Group, is seeking a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to join its Flood, Coast and Environment team. Based in a regional office, you will contribute to flood risk management, coastal engineering, and water projects.

Travel to client offices and project sites is essential as you develop your technical knowledge and professional qualifications. You will join an accredited graduate development programme with mentorship from experienced engineers and exposure to

Qualifications

• ICE-accredited Civil Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Strong STEM grades at A-level (or equivalent).
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Genuine interest in water, flood risk management, coastal engineering and environmental projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Creative and practical thinking with strong analytical skills.
• Proactive, methodical problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned packages within budgets and timescales.
• Understand project scope, contractual obligations and potential changes.
• Interpret client briefs, including requirements and performance standards.
• Undertake feasibility assessments and outline/detailed design work.
• Manage workloads across multiple projects and priorities.
• Prepare clear, concise technical deliverables for audiences.
• Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Project Managers and stakeholders.
