Arup is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the Water and Flood Risk team in Newcastle, delivering live UK projects from early assessment to detailed design and delivery. You will grow technically and professionally, taking responsibility and benefiting from mentoring and access to national and global specialists.

You’ll work on flood alleviation, drainage and water infrastructure projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging clients, regulators and stakeholders to deliver

Formación

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• A relevant postgraduate qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Progression toward or achievement of professional chartership (ICE, CIWEM or equivalent) would be advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Carrying out flood risk, drainage and water engineering assessments, analysis and design.
• Producing technical reports, calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Developing and appraising options, feasibility studies and sustainable solutions.
• Supporting detailed design and project delivery.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, integrated outcomes.
• Engaging with clients, regulators and stakeholders through meetings and site visits.
• Using digital tools and specialist software for data analysis, modelling and design.
• Taking ownership of project tasks and ensuring quality and accuracy.
