Job summary
Thomson is seeking a Technical Specialist to lead and grow our dynamic Water Team. You will combine technical expertise, team leadership and business development to deliver complex aquatic projects and shape the future of our water services.
You will work with clients and colleagues to ensure best-practice advice, compliance with legislation and policy, and successful delivery of high-quality environmental outcomes.
Qualifications
- Experience in environmental consultancy.
- Background in aquatic/ hydro-ecology or similar.
- Track record of winning work and building client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Water Team, managing workloads, performance and development.
- Deliver large, complex hydro-ecological projects with technical oversight.
- Provide guidance on legislation, policy and best practice, reviewing reports and ensuring quality.
- Oversee budgets, forecasting and team financial performance; deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Win new work through bids, tenders and client engagement; maintain strong client relationships.
