Job summary

Egis is seeking a high-calibre Design Programme Lead to join our UK Water business, supporting major programmes across the Midlands. As part of a global engineering consultancy, you will lead complex design programmes, coordinating designers, engineers and delivery partners to ensure design excellence and timely delivery.

You will embody Egis values, drive governance, risk management, and client-focused collaboration, ensuring sustainable, resilient infrastructure and strong commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven leader in water sector with track record delivering major complex projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design and delivery teams.
• Strong client-facing communicator with commercial awareness.
• Governance, risk management, and NEC/JCT contract knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design programme delivery across portfolios.
• Establish design governance and milestone tracking.
• Ensure alignment with client strategy and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams across civil, structural, MEICA, environmental, planning.
• Drive design reviews, risk management, change control, and technical decisions.
• Support design-led bids and strategic growth initiatives.
