Job summary

WSP is seeking a Design Manager to lead design management for mid-scale to complex water projects. You will oversee resources, timelines, budgets, and ensure health, safety, environmental and quality standards are met, working with internal teams and clients across the UK.

In this role you’ll drive Design Team Meetings, manage design deliverables, coordinate across disciplines, and contribute to safer, buildable solutions under CDM regulations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in infrastructure programme delivery.
• Strong knowledge of H&S standards and regulations.
• Proven ability to lead design management on complex projects.
• Experience coordinating across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design management for mid-scale and complex water projects, overseeing resources, timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Manage client relationships and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Lead client and project meetings, reporting progress, financials and technical challenges.
• Drive Safety by Design and CDM regulations across projects.
• Coordinate across internal and external design disciplines to deliver high-quality outputs.
