Job summary

The University of Sheffield invites applications for a Water Compliance Plumber to manage and maintain water systems across our portfolio. This on-site role focuses on safe water hygiene, regulatory compliance, and the installation and upgrading of plumbing assets.

The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing, be IT literate, hold a full UK driving license, and possess Legionella experience. Flexible working and comprehensive benefits are available as part of our staff rewards.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing is essential.
Good understanding of water compliance legislation including WRAS and G3 regulations.
Ability to work collaboratively with EFM and university users to maintain water quality.
IT literate with basic software competence.
Full UK driving license is required.
Experience with legionella compliance plumbing and system upgrades.

Responsibilities

Conduct water hygiene maintenance and testing across facilities.
Ensure compliance with HTM, WRAS and G3 regulations as needed.
Investigate statutory water quality compliance issues.
Remove dead legs and dead ends, install unvented systems.
Upgrade tanks, pumps, valves and pipework; disinfect hot/cold systems.
Carry out inspections and remedial works; support ongoing water quality monitoring.
