Job summary

S1jobs is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead water-focused civil engineering projects in the Central Belt, Scotland. You will take ownership from pre-construction through to handover, overseeing 2-3 projects with values up to £1m+ and visiting sites regularly while being based primarily in the office.

The role emphasizes strong commercial awareness, proactive leadership, and the ability to manage programmes, resources and teams to deliver projects on time and to budget.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering civil engineering projects, preferably water-related.
• Strong client management and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of project delivery from pre-construction to completion.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Commercial and contractual awareness for project delivery.
• Proactive, ambitious, and capable of progressing within the business.

Responsibilities

• Manage design, pre-construction through to delivery and handover.
• Own programme, commercial performance, quality and delivery.
• Oversee multiple projects concurrently.
• Coordinate with clients, designers, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Manage programmes, resources and delivery requirements.
• Monitor project performance and ensure safety and efficiency.
• Attend sites as required to oversee progress.
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure projects meet standards, timescales and budgets.
