Job summary

Kier Group in Norwich seeks a Skilled Operative (Civils/Mechanical) to join the Anglian Water IOS team. You will contribute to delivering both civil and mechanical works across water environments, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site.

Your day-to-day includes risk assessments, reading drawings, installing mechanical plant and drainage works, and helping meet project timelines within budget. Willingness to travel and hold a valid CSCS/EUSR card is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires experience in water industry environments (clean water/wastewater) and site operations.
• CSCS or EUSR card to demonstrate industry standards compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications; existing pipe laying and drainage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend safety briefings and perform daily risk assessments.
• Read and interpret drawings, plans and specs to support delivery of works.
• Install and operate mechanical plant, formwork, shoring, and excavation works as required.
• Construct underground chambers and complete pipe laying and drainage activities.
• Support timely project delivery within budget while ensuring environmental controls and water hygiene.
