Job summary

Stantec is offering a Degree Apprentice (Level 6) in Civil Engineering - Water in Newcastle. You will join a UK-wide Water team of engineers, learning from experienced colleagues while developing your career in civil engineering.

You’ll spend four days a week in the Newcastle office, with tuition covered for a Level 6 BEng degree and day or block release options with training providers such as the University of Northumbria at Newcastle. Applicants must meet defined entry requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 112 UCAS points required across one or more accepted routes.
• GCSEs: 5 subjects with grade 5-6 (B) or above in Maths and English Language.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering activities from feasibility to construction, including detailed calculations, analysis and drawings.
• Utilise AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other software to present design solutions for clients.
• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, bids and proposals.
• Provide technical input on civil engineering matters to support the project team.
• Attend meetings and workshops with clients and colleagues from other disciplines.
