Job summary

Pennon Group’s South West Water is seeking a Solution Development Wastewater Programme Lead to drive major investment programmes across Exeter and the South West. The role requires an engineering or technical background and experience delivering complex, value-driven wastewater projects.

You will coordinate Asset Management, Operations and external partners, shaping outline designs and option selections to achieve regulatory and environmental outcomes while ensuring safety and value for

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering or programme development activities in water or similar regulated environments.
• Ability to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
• Strong governance, risk management and performance reporting experience.
• Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams and consultants.
• Experience across asset management, engineering and environmental regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and option selection of major wastewater investment programmes.
• Translate business needs into robust technical solutions and outline designs.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants and design partners.
• Drive efficient option development and value outcomes.
• Manage programme scope, priorities, resources and milestones.
• Collaborate with Asset Management, Operations, Delivery and others.
• Challenge assumptions to maximise value and deliverability.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, standardisation and cross-programme efficiencies.
• Establish governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Monitor programme performance against time, cost and regulatory commitments.
• Promote health, safety and environmental leadership.
