Job summary

Network Plus in Worsley is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support Non-Core Wastewater projects across Cheshire and Greater Manchester. You will provide engineering and technical support, oversee quality standards and ensure works meet project requirements.

The role requires strong setting-out expertise (line and level), proficiency with EDM and dumpy levels, and excellent record-keeping. You will travel between sites within United Utilities' region and collaborate with clients and teams.

Qualifications

• Wastewater/site setting-out experience preferred.
• Experience working within United Utilities framework or similar water company.
• Strong record-keeping and as-built documentation skills.
• Ability to assess material quality and installation standards.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
• Ability to work without direct supervision, across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Undertake setting-out activities (line and level).
• Use setting-out equipment confidently (EDM, dumpy levels).
• Perform pre- and post-work inspections and checks.
• Maintain accurate site records and produce as-built information.
• Carry out quality checks on materials and installations.
• Check setting-out and quality of subcontracted works.
• Act as quality lead across assigned projects.
• Respond to technical queries at site level.
• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
• Work independently across multiple sites.
• Ensure works comply with specifications, drawings and quality standards.
