Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Technical Director – Wastewater Process to provide strategic technical leadership across the UK water portfolio and beyond. You will influence major programmes, guide design and innovation, and shape service offerings while working with regulators and key utilities.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status, extensive wastewater experience, and a track record of leading multidisciplinary teams in a consultancy environment. Hybrid working with UK-wide travel is offered.

Qualifications

Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering with Chartered Engineer status.
Extensive experience in design, optimisation and delivery of wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects.
Strong understanding of UK water industry standards, regulatory requirements and best practice.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic technical leadership across wastewater treatment, sludge management and resource recovery programmes.
Lead technical governance, assurance and engineering oversight across a portfolio of projects.
Mentor and develop senior process engineers; build lasting technical capability.
Develop client relationships, lead major bids and contribute to market growth.
