Job summary

Lanes Group is recruiting a Kendal-based Technician to assist United Utilities on the Bucket 1 reactive contract. You will work 8:00–18:00 front shifts and 12:00–22:00 back shifts, with weekends and bank holidays included, at Kendal WWTW.

You will support CCTV and jetting operations, inspect drainage, and handle data entry on a laptop/tablet, with safety procedures strictly observed.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 (C) license preferred.
• NRSWA - Sign, Lighting, Guarding experience preferred.
• High pressure water jetting experience preferred.
• EUSR National Water Hygiene certification preferred.
• CPC certification beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Work with a CST UU Operative to clean, camera and investigate sewer networks as directed by United Utilities.
• Inform customers of works, timescales and address concerns.
• Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks or damage affecting customers and the network.
• Carry out all aspects of high pressure water jetting.
• Operate jetting equipment to clear blockages in drains, sewers and pipes.
• Perform CCTV inspections as required to assess pipe/sewer condition.
• Use a laptop/tablet for data entry and reporting.
• Report safety issues in line with company procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance of jetting equipment to ensure reliability.
