We are currently recruiting multiple Wastewater (Hydraulic) Modellers for various long-term frameworks across the UK.

RPS and Tetra Tech have secured a £100 million framework from United Utilities to improve river health in Northwest England, supporting long-term water industry projects.

Join a team with over 20 years of experience working with United Utilities, contributing to innovative projects as we approach AMP8, an exciting time for the water sector.

Under this 10-year framework, RPS aims to optimize programs, develop solutions, and select the best options based on value, low carbon, and cost, with a goal to deliver resilient, eco-friendly water services in the Northwest.

About The Team:

RPS Water Consulting comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts dedicated to Asset Management and Operational Strategy for water industry clients, focusing on innovation and teamwork.

We also collaborate with other major UK water companies, managing a broad portfolio of long-term frameworks and leading prestigious AMP8 programs for future career stability.

About You:

Ideal candidates will have experience in urban drainage projects, proficiency in InfoWorks ICM, GIS software, and strong teamwork skills. Leadership qualities and client service orientation are valued.

Your Responsibilities:

• Build, verify, and maintain wastewater models.
• Conduct feasibility, use studies, optioneering, and assessments for wastewater networks.
• Ensure quality and compliance of modelling outputs.
• Manage small projects.
• Collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
• Follow health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• Relevant modelling experience in consultancy or water sector.
• Proficiency in Excel, Visual Basic, and InfoWorks ICM.
• Knowledge of GIS systems (MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS).
• Experience with large datasets and water-specific analysis packages.
• Understanding of the UK water industry.
• Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Degree in a relevant technical subject; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
• Chartered status or working towards it; membership with professional bodies preferred.
