Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a Technical Service Engineer/Consultant for a Southampton-based, full-time role up to £30,000pa. The role covers workshop, office and customer sites, delivering technical expertise and hands-on support for wastewater treatment systems.

The role involves installation, maintenance, system optimisation and client demonstrations, with travel to sites and occasional cross-division support.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Good IT skills to produce professional reports and documentation.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work independently.
• Experience in wastewater treatment, water treatment or environmental services.
• Experience with pumps, dosing systems, pipework, tanks or electrical controls.
• Experience with commissioning, maintenance or troubleshooting of technical equipment.
• Experience delivering customer training or technical demonstrations.
• Marine or industrial sector experience.

Responsibilities

• Building, assembling and testing equipment using mechanical and electrical components.
• Supporting the installation, maintenance and optimisation of wastewater treatment systems.
• Visiting customer sites to assess performance, diagnose issues and implement practical solutions.
• Delivering technical demonstrations, training and customer support.
• Preparing technical reports, documentation and maintaining accurate records.
• Supporting product testing, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identifying opportunities to improve equipment, processes and system performance.
• Developing strong customer relationships and supporting business development activities, including meetings, demonstrations and exhibitions.
• Providing occasional support to another division of the business, which may involve travel, site visits and technical investigations.
