Job summary

Network Plus is seeking a design engineer to join the team in Worsley, delivering wastewater infrastructure design for UK utility contracts. You will produce high-quality concepts, manage design stages, and work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant solutions.

The role emphasizes CAD proficiency (AutoCAD), collaboration, and mentoring junior colleagues while maintaining project budgets and schedules across multiple schemes.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualifications desirable, otherwise strong experience considered.
• Experience in the water industry on wastewater projects.
• Proven experience in wastewater, CSOs, stormwater management, and wastewater networks.
• Understanding knowledge of relevant Engineering specifications for water.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015.
• Proficient user of AutoCAD.
• Competent in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team and organise workload across multiple projects.
• Willingness to mentor and support less experienced colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor industry practices and identify design trends.
• Develop high-quality concepts with team iterations and stakeholder feedback.
• Lead design phases: setup, programming, design and construction administration.
• Collaborate with internal and external design teams and consultants.
• Provide technical design support to team members.
