Adler & Allan is seeking a Waste Yard Operative in Rainham, Essex to join our team. You will be responsible for the receipt, segregation, storage and movement of waste streams, plus loading/unloading containers and ensuring correct waste documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial, waste, environmental or logistics yard.
• Solid understanding of health & safety in a high‑risk environment.
• Ability to follow procedures and work safely.
• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage receipt, segregation, storage and movement of waste streams.
• Load and unload containers, drums, IBCs, skips and tankers.
• Perform waste handling tasks including decanting, dewatering and basic processing.
• Keep the yard organised, safe and inspection-ready.
• Complete accurate waste documentation and internal records.
• Conduct routine checks on containers, equipment and infrastructure.
• Support audits, inspections and regulator visits.
• Collaborate with operations, transport and compliance teams.
• Follow site instructions, method statements and safety procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the site.
