Job summary

Scottish Water is seeking a Waste Water Sampling Officer to join the Water Sampling team. Based in Turriff and covering Buckie, Banff, Fraserburgh and Peterhead, you’ll plan, collect and deliver waste water samples across your patch every day.

Most sampling sites are UKAS-accredited, so accuracy matters. You’ll work mostly solo, with occasional travel and standby shifts, all while upholding our commitment to Scotland’s clean, safe water supply and environment.

Qualifications

• Full, clean driving licence and ability to travel across patch.
• Ability to work to a schedule with occasional rescheduling.
• Attention to detail for accreditation procedures.
• Comfort working solo while contributing to team targets.
• Willingness to cover required areas and occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Plan, collect, process and deliver waste water samples across patch.
• Visit waste water treatment works and customers’ premises daily.
• Follow UKAS-accredited sampling procedures with attention to detail.
• Work independently while contributing to team targets.
• Represent Scottish Water with a friendly, professional manner.
