Job summary

Scottish Water is seeking a proactive Waste Water Process Scientist to join the Bioresource team in Scotland. You will optimise treatment processes, investigate failures, and drive continuous improvement across operational centres.

In this role you will shape how online instrumentation and process control technologies are applied to improve performance, resilience and compliance while collaborating with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Analyses information, identifies root causes and develops effective solutions.
• Strong knowledge of online instrumentation, process monitoring and process control technologies.
• Proactive, self-motivated with a passion for improving wastewater treatment.
• Builds collaborative relationships with operational teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical process support to wastewater and sludge treatment operations at the Nigg bioresource centre.
• Investigate process failures, perform root cause analysis, and ensure actions are implemented to mitigate issues.
• Identify and deliver opportunities to improve process performance, resilience and efficiency.
• Support development and application of online instrumentation and process control technologies.
• Collaborate with operational teams and stakeholders to deliver practical, sustainable solutions.
• Use data and innovation to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
