Job summary

Scottish Water is seeking a Sampling Officer to join the Water Sampling team in Scotland. This part-time role (9.6 hours per week) involves planning, collecting and delivering samples across Benbecula and surrounding areas, often working alone in branded vans.

You will operate to UKAS standards, recording precise measurements while supporting team targets. Accountabilities include a pro-rata salary range (£27,280 to £30,060), flexible working, standby shifts, and access to a pension and benefits

Qualifications

• Full, clean driving licence required.
• Ability to work alone and meet daily/weekly targets.
• Good planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, collect, process and deliver water samples across your patch.
• Visit water treatment works, service reservoirs, customers' houses and Top Up Taps.
• Adhere to UKAS-accredited sampling procedures and record accurate measurements.
• Often work solo with a strong contribution to team targets.
• Be on standby rota for after-hours or weekend sampling.
