Job summary

Lanes Group Ltd is hiring a Civils Assist Operative to support the United Utilities contract in the North West. You will join the Civils, CCTV & Jetting and Civils teams, delivering a first-class service to customers and working to meet client needs in the most cost-effective way.

You will engineer on-site solutions, handle blockages and sewer excavations, and operate safely on wastewater networks. The role is 50 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 6am-4pm) with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence is required.
• Drivers licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Adhere to safe dig practices at all times.
• Ability to work under pressure while using a company tablet to upload/relay information to head office.
• Forward thinking with a positive attitude; good housekeeping and time management.
• Ensure plant and equipment are used correctly and safely.
• Resolving problems, clearing blockages, and excavating on sewer networks.

Sapphire Utility Solutions, a Lanes Group Company specialise in multiple divisions. United Utilities operates across a number of contracts across our business, predominantly wastewater network services as part of the AMP 7 period plan. The Team support reactive and planned maintenance across the CCTV & Jetting and Civils teams, further supported by our in house Traffic Management Division and Capital Projects covering the entire UU network. Role: Civils Assist Operative

Hours

50 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 6am-4pm)

Salary

£36,946-£38,246 per annumper annum depending on experience and tickets. Weekly pay

Purpose of the role

As a Civils Support Operative, you will be working on our United Utility contract within the North West. Working to meet the needs of the client in the most cost-effective manner whilst working with your team. You will provide expertise, experience, and work closely with your team to deliver a first-class service to our customers. You will be competent on working in wastewater networks. You will be able to engineer solutions on site and focus your teams on completing work right first time.
