Job summary
FCC Environment is currently seeking a proactive Team Leader for the Daventry HWRC site in Northamptonshire. The role focuses on directing daily site activities, leading the team, and ensuring safe, efficient operations while promoting high standards of recycling and customer service.
You will oversee waste segregation, safety compliance, and staff training, with duties including keeping the site clean and presentable and coordinating with management on improvements.
Qualifications
- Experience in waste industry or related sector.
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage a team and operate a site.
- Knowledge of waste streams and disposal practices.
- Commitment to health & safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily site operations and staff.
- Ensure correct segregation of waste streams.
- Assist the public with recycling and provide guidance.
- Maintain site safety, housekeeping and regulatory compliance.
- Train new staff and agency workers on duties.
- Monitor stock and ensure PPE availability.
- Oversee daily, weekly and monthly checks and reporting.
