Job summary

Sellick Partnership is seeking a Waste Services Manager on a 6-month contract based in Nottingham to provide temporary leadership to a busy local authority waste and recycling service. The role focuses on operational oversight, staff deployment and performance management, with accountability for health and safety and service quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing waste, recycling, street cleansing or similar frontline operational services.
• Strong people management experience, including supervision of managers or supervisors.
• Experience of operational planning, workforce deployment and service delivery.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.

Waste Services Manager

Working Pattern: On-site, 5 days per week

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Waste Operations Manager to provide temporary support to a busy local authority waste and recycling service during a period of increased workload.

Working alongside the existing Waste Services Manager, you will provide operational leadership across waste and recycling services, ensuring the effective planning, deployment and management of frontline operations and supervisory teams.

Key Responsibilities of the Waste Operations Manager

• Provide operational support across waste and recycling services.
• Lead on day-to-day service planning and resource deployment.
• Support Waste Supervisors with operational management and workforce coordination.
