Job summary

Veolia is seeking personnel to work at a household waste recycling centre in Fair Oak, handling waste disposal for the public and ensuring safe, clean and compliant operations. The role involves manual handling and working outdoors across varied shifts with bank holidays observed.

You will support recycling efforts, operate a tablet booking system, and assist with trade waste control while maintaining a safe, welcoming site for visitors. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Similar operational manual handling experience.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist members of the public at the household recycling centre with waste and recycling disposal.
• Ensure health and safety of all site visitors, staff and contractors.
• Ensure materials on site are recycled as much as possible.
• Keep the facility clean and spillages cleaned up before leaving the area.
• Operate the IT Tablet based booking system.
• Control trade waste.
