West Northamptonshire Council is seeking an experienced contract management professional to lead waste collection and street cleansing across the Daventry area. The role covers a period of transition as the JV with Norse ends in May 2028 and services move back into direct Council management.

You will oversee service delivery, stakeholder engagement and change management to ensure continuity and high standards during this period.

We have an exciting opportunity within the Waste Team at West Northamptonshire Council to lead and manage the waste collection and street cleansing services across the Daventry area.

This role will oversee these high profile service arrangements during a significant period of transition.

The existing Joint Venture (JV) agreement between Norse and West Northants Council is due to end in May 2028, when these services will transfer back into direct Council management.

As a result, this is a high-profile and challenging role requiring an experienced contract management professional with strong technical knowledge of waste and environmental services, preferably with experience of working within a local authority.

This position is offered on a fixed-term basis until 31 May 2028.
