Job summary

Ambitions Personnel is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a busy waste management site on a multi-shift basis. You will develop and supervise a team of four operational supervisors, oversee day-to-day operations, and ensure compliance with environmental permits and health & safety standards.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage resources and incident investigations, and work closely with senior management to deliver business objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operations within waste management or a similar regulated environment.
• Experience managing a sizeable operational workforce and supervising multiple teams.
• Strong understanding of environmental compliance, health and safety requirements.
• Experience managing shift-based operations and maintaining site standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead four operational supervisors and their teams to deliver daily site performance.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations across a multi-shift environment.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits, waste regulations and procedures.
• Maintain site technical competence arrangements and capability requirements.
• Uphold high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping across the site.
• Monitor productivity, resource allocation and performance, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Investigate incidents and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with senior management to achieve business objectives and continuous improvement.
