Job summary

SLR Consulting is seeking a Technical Director for the Waste Market Specialist role across the UK, with preferred offices in Bristol, Bradford-on-Avon, Birmingham and Edinburgh. You will lead end-to-end due diligence for waste management, infrastructure and financial entities, shaping strategy and client delivery.

You will drive business development, win opportunities, manage budgets and mentor staff while maintaining strong market relationships.

Qualifications

• Extensive demonstrable experience delivering high-level due diligence in waste management, infrastructure and finance.
• Strong market relationships used to grow M&A workstreams.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end due diligence projects for waste-related M&A across the UK and abroad.
• Drive business development and win new opportunities for the SWM team.
• Oversee project delivery, budgets, forecasts and client satisfaction.
• Mentor and develop mid-grade and junior staff to strengthen service offerings.
• Present technical and commercial insights clearly to investors and clients.
