Job summary

SLR Consulting Ltd seeks an experienced waste and resource management specialist to support market due diligence, assessment and modelling for waste management companies, investors and developers. You will lead data-driven analysis and provide technical advice across waste services, infrastructure and procurement.

The role involves managing projects, budgets and client relations, plus mentoring junior colleagues in a collaborative, hybrid-working environment across the UK.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in waste, recycling and/or bioenergy sectors.
• Strong expertise in waste/resource modelling (mass flow, carbon, financial).
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Power Query and LAMBDA advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver market analysis and commercial due diligence for private sector clients, investors and developers.
• Lead complex waste flow, carbon and market modelling projects using large datasets.
• Provide technical advice on waste services, infrastructure, strategy, procurement and service improvement.
• Manage projects, budgets and client relationships to ensure delivery.
• Support business development through opportunity identification, bid preparation and client engagement.
• Stay informed on UK waste sector policy, infrastructure, market trends and emerging technologies.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
