Severn Trent is hiring a Waste Incident Responder (Tanker Driver) to drive vacuum tankers and collect or deliver liquid biosolids within the network. You'll be the first on scene for pollution incidents and may carry out planned maintenance at treatment sites when no incidents are active.

Shift hours vary; you must meet licensing requirements (C licence) and have a willingness to work flexibly, including weekends. Training and development are part of the role.

Qualifikationen

• You must hold at least one licence: C licence or equivalent.
• Knowledge of vacuum tanker operations is advantageous.
• Experience with wastewater or waste handling is desirable but not essential.

Aufgaben

• Drive vacuum tankers to collect and deliver liquid biosolids and other waste within the Severn Trent network.
• Act as first responder to pollution incidents and assist with site maintenance when there are no incidents.
• Maintain regulatory compliance on drivers’ hours and vehicle roadworthiness.
• Complete daily work instructions from Planning Office or Line Manager.
• Communicate with stakeholders to keep everyone updated on operations.
• Use Severn Trent IT systems for tanker load information and safety reporting.
• Identify efficiency opportunities to reduce costs and report issues to your Line Manager.
