Job summary

Euro Auctions is seeking a Wash Bay Operative for outdoor work at Roall Ln, Kellington. You will operate heavy equipment, wash and prep machines, and support yard activities during sales. The role involves regular overtime during busy auction periods and working in all weather conditions.

Essential criteria include strong English skills, physical fitness, and prior heavy equipment experience. Forklift cert is desirable; previously in similar roles preferred.

Wash Bay Operative

Reporting To: Workshop Manager

Location: Roall Ln, Kellington, DN14 0NY.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm & 1 out of 6 weekends.

Euro Auctions conducts unreserved auctions of industrial plant, construction equipment and agricultural machinery on a global basis with sites in the UK, Europe, UAE, Australia, US and Canada. We are the market leader in Europe, holding more sales and selling more lots per sale than any other auction house.

Key Activities:

• Power washing the exterior of machines.
• Ensure all machines are presented to a high standard.
• Assisting other staff in organising and preparing the yard for each sale.
• Loading and unloading of machinery.

About the role

The Person:

This role is an active, outdoor job and requires someone with the ability to operate all types of heavy equipment and trucks. You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers as well as being physically fit to climb on and off machinery. If you have a knowledge of heavy plant/mining/quarry equipment, then we especially want to hear from you.

The Requirements

Essential Criteria:

• We are looking for motivated, highly organised people who love a challenge and are not averse to a hard day's graft.
• Ability to take instruction as well as work on own initiative and follow Health & Safety legislation.
• Willingness to work regular overtime during busy auction periods.
• Prior experience operating and knowledge of all types of heavy equipment.
• Strong English skills

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• A Forklift operator's certificate.
