Automotive Warranty Controller Required in Dartford for Automotive Specialist Motorsport Business

• Pay: Up to £30,500 Basic DOE
• Hours: 38 hours per week Monday - Friday ONLY. Early finish on Fridays too!

Our client, a British Motorsport Manufacturer, has been engineering some of the UK's most specialist and bespoke race and road cars for over 50 years. Due to an exciting project and continuous expansion, our client is looking for a Warranty Controller to join their Automotive Service Support team and support the work of the Service and Warranty Claims team.

As a vehicle warranty controller, our client wants you to bring your previous experience, skills, and knowledge to their team. You will work within a team of Warranty Controllers reporting to the Aftersales Manager. This role is crucial to the success of the business, and the rewards and benefits they offer set them apart from other Automotive employers in the area.

Typical day-to-day duties include:

• Oversee the web-based warranty claims system
• Decide on warranty claims
• Monitor safety recalls and action new recalls when required
• Process returned parts into quarantine
• Process warranty invoices
• Produce weekly and monthly MI reports
• Liaise with suppliers about ongoing quality concerns
• Identify and isolate faulty components
• Process and chase supplier returns

Candidate requirements:

• Strong, clear written communication skills, especially for international dealers
• Attention to detail
• Good understanding of MS Word and Excel
• Willingness to be hands-on with parts, packing, and shipping
• Desire to develop technical understanding
• Confidence communicating with suppliers about quality concerns
• Able to travel for supplier visits
• Experience in warranty processing at a dealer level is advantageous
