Job summary

Encompassborders is seeking a Caring Personal Assistant / Companion for a lady living near Greenlaw. The role offers friendly companionship, practical support, and help with daily routines, ensuring she can enjoy time outdoors and stay comfortable at home.

Duties include light housework, encouraging social activities, and building a trusting relationship with the client and her family. The position is 3 hours per week, with a £14.55 hourly rate and mileage covered by the employer.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting older people
• Experience or understanding of ADHD
• Calm, caring and patient approach
• Genuine interest in supporting others and helping them maintain independence

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly companionship and conversation.
• Support the lady to go for walks and enjoy time outdoors.
• Assist with light housework and household tasks as required.
• Encourage participation in activities and daily routines.
• Provide caring and thoughtful support.
• Build a positive and trusting relationship with the lady and her family.
• Work alongside the existing support team to provide consistent, person-centred support.
• Respect the lady’s privacy, dignity, preferences, and independence.
