Job summary

QinetiQ Group plc, based at the Shoeburyness site, is seeking a Warehouse Technician to support defence trials, testing programmes and disposal activities through safe handling, storage and movement of materials. You will manage stock, receipts, storage and issuing while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, logistics, stores or inventory management environments.
• Understanding of stock control processes and accurate record keeping.
• Knowledge of safe storage, handling and movement of controlled or regulated materials.
• Ability to follow procedures in a highly regulated environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
• Valid manual driving licence, Level 2, Level 3 or Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant technical, logistics, engineering or defence discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Job description

As a Warehouse Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting critical defence trials, testing programmes, and disposal activities by ensuring the safe handling, storage, control and movement of specialist materials and equipment across the site. Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for warehouse operations, stock management, receipting, storage and issuing activities, whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and operational excellence within a regulated environment. Your responsibilities will include:
