Job summary

GXO is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor (Nights) for the Preston Brook site to lead the night shift, ensuring safe and efficient stock movement while delivering exceptional service for our customer. This full-time role (Mon-Fri, 20:00–06:00) offers a salary up to £34,000 with a 20% night shift premium and a benefits package including pension and leave. You will develop your team and drive continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing teams in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Counterbalance FLT licence and flexibility to work nights.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, loading processes and performance targets.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the night shift team to achieve operational, service, and productivity KPIs.
• Ensure stock is handled, loaded, and dispatched safely and accurately, maintaining high customer service standards.
• Drive a proactive health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with site procedures and legislation.

• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and site performance.

GXO is currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor (Nights) to join our B&Q operation in Preston Brook. In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the night shift operation, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient movement of stock while delivering exceptional service for our customer. You'll play a key role in developing your team, driving operational performance, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement across the site.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 20:00 to 06:00. Flexibility may be required to support the needs of the operation because, after all, this is logistics!

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £34,000 per annum, plus an additional20% night shift premium. What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience supervising or managing teams within a warehouse or logistics environment
• Counterbalance FLT licence and a flexible approach to working within a busy operation
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, loading processes, and performance targets
• Good IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams
