Role Responsibilities
- Ensure health & safety standards are maintained, encouraging near-miss reporting and implementing preventative measures.
- Oversee daily operations including picking, checking, packing, and dispatching products, ensuring stock integrity and damage prevention.
- Delegate tasks and monitor team performance regularly.
- Promote a 'One Team' culture through positive leadership.
- Conduct daily team briefings, 1-2-1s, PDRs, and performance reviews.
- Ensure adherence to company values and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Communicate effectively across departments via verbal and written channels.
- Maintain accurate stock records, report discrepancies, and investigate issues.
- Manage communication with suppliers and customers professionally.
- Handle documentation and data entry as per procedures.
- Support other warehouse activities and collaborate on floor space management.
- Assist in environmentally safe waste disposal processes.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of team management experience in a warehouse setting.
- At least 5 years of warehouse experience.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in agile environments with flexible staffing needs.
- Leadership qualities with a focus on team development and succession planning.
- Excellent communication skills with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
- Ability to review processes and implement efficiency improvements.
- Experience in setting and monitoring KPIs.
- Data analysis skills and report generation.
- Hands-on approach and collaborative working style.
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Physical ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours and lift/move products up to 20kg.
