Job summary

Culina in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to drive day-to-day operations in a chilled distribution environment in Telford. You will lead a shift, monitor productivity and service KPIs, and ensure adherence to health, safety and hygiene standards to meet legislative and quality requirements.

This hands-on role requires strong people skills, reliability and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage and motivate the shift team to meet productivity and service KPIs.
• Uphold health, safety and hygiene standards and document compliance.
• Deliver briefings and gather input from the team.
• Oversee Goods Inwards to ensure quick, safe receipts.
• Develop team members and plan succession.
• Conduct disciplinary/grievance interviews per policy.
• Monitor sickness absence and return-to-work interviews.
• Control time and attendance, overtime and agency levels.
• Ensure policies are followed and training is delivered.

Job description

• Manage and motivate the shift team ensuring that productivity and service KPI's are achieved or exceeded
• Ensure the highest possible levels of Health, Safety and Hygiene are upheld so that legislative and quality requirements can be complied with, ensure relevant paperwork is completed and retained
• Deliver communication briefings so that all shift are aware of all Company and local issues and employees are able to offer input/improvements and feel involved
• Manage Goods Inwards area to ensure that receipts are made quickly and without damaging goods so that stock is available to satisfy orders
• Develop all team members so that their contributions to the Warehouse can be maximised and succession plan
• Carry out disciplinary / grievance interviews and investigations in line with Company procedure
• Monitor and control sickness absence levels in line with Company policy and carry out return to work interviews effectively and efficiently
• Monitor and control the time and attendance system
• Ensure the appropriate levels of overtime and agency workers to efficiently and cost effectively run the shift
• Enforce and adhere all Company policies and procedures
• Monitor and control training for teams, ensuring the correct amount of Health & Safety representation on shift, eg. First Aiders; Fire Marshalls

The role is based in a chilled warehouse environment, so you will need to be comfortable working in temperatures between 2 and 4 degrees., Computer literate with knowledge of Excel
