The Opportunity

• Support the Warehouse Supervisor in delivering a professional, cost-effective, and efficient warehouse operation; own and manage all shift-related activities in a designated area, ensuring all departmental KPIs are achieved.
• Report relevant information, escalate potential service issues promptly, and communicate key company and departmental updates through team briefs and communications.
• Ensure your team is trained on all relevant warehouse procedures and safety systems, including onboarding new starters.
• Coordinate with colleagues to maximize efficiency and performance, ensuring picks are available for warehouse operatives.
• Maintain confidentiality while managing employee relations activities such as return-to-work interviews, performance monitoring, and shift start checks.
• Communicate effectively between departments to ensure timely vehicle departures and approve any changes to the load plan.
• Oversee daily warehouse operations, addressing issues like stock errors, product shortages, and loading readiness, escalating problems as needed.
• Conduct H&S checks to ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and food safety standards, including BRC requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience in FMCG environment managing warehouse teams
• Leadership skills in coaching, communication, and problem-solving
• Good numeracy and communication skills, both spoken and written
• Strong IT proficiency
• Ability to work efficiently under time constraints, prioritizing workload effectively
