Job summary

Pertemps is seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader for a brand-new operation in Foston, Dove Valley Park. The role focuses on leading daily warehouse operations, planning and staffing to ensure safe, efficient and scalable performance across all activities.

Key responsibilities include supervising picking, goods in/out, stock control, and delivering accurate daily/weekly reports. A strong background in supply chain and hands-on leadership is essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe working environment adhering to health and safety procedures.
• Ensure orders are processed efficiently to meet delivery timescales.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.
• Supervise order picking, goods in/out to ensure accuracy and minimise stock damage.
• Organise stock takes at regular intervals.
• Identify errors and implement corrective countermeasures to prevent repeats.
• Maintain stock accuracy between physical stock and warehouse management system.
• Complete daily/weekly warehouse reports and logs.
• Ensure workflows procedures are followed by the team.
• Coach and develop direct reports.

Warehouse Team Leader

Pertemps are seeking an experienced, highly organised, hands-on Warehouse Team Leader for our clients brand new operation in Foston, Dove Valley Park.

The ideal candidate must have strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities, excellent supply chain experience and a proven track record in warehouse operations. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational planning, staffing and implementation, ensuring efficiency, safety and scalability.

As the Warehouse Team Lead you will be instrumental in optimising workflow, driving productivity, and ensuring operational excellence in delivering dedicated warehouse-as-a-service to all business units operating within the facility.

Key Outcomes and Responsibilities

• Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Quality related procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team
• Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of product meets customers timescales/requirements
• Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods
• Supervise and proactively control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage
• Organise, facilitate, and manage stock takes at regular intervals
• Identify errors and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures whilst adopting the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues
• Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system to ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy
• Completing and maintaining all daily and weekly reports and logs for the warehouse.
• Ensuring that all workflow procedures and processes are followed by direct reports.
• Coaching, training, and guiding direct reports

The successful Warehouse Team Leader will receive:

• A starting salary between £30,000 to £35,000 dependent on experience
