Job summary

Pertemps North Midlands in Foston, Dove Valley Park, seeks an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to run the day-to-day operations, plan staffing, and drive efficiency.

You will lead the warehouse team, ensure safety, accuracy, and timely deliveries, and partner with colleagues to scale operations in a new facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe working environment, adhering to health, safety and quality procedures.
• Ensure orders are processed efficiently to meet customers' timescales.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.
• Supervise and control order picking, goods in/out with minimal handling and stock damage.
• Organise and manage stock takes at regular intervals.
• Identify errors and eliminate root causes with robust countermeasures.
• Maintain stock accuracy with the warehouse management system.
• Complete daily and weekly reports and logs for the warehouse.
• Ensure workflow procedures are followed by direct reports.
• Coach, train and guide direct reports.

Warehouse Team Leader

Pertemps are seeking an experienced, highly organised, hands-on Warehouse Team Leader for our clients brand new operation in Foston, Dove Valley Park.

The ideal candidate must have strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities, excellent supply chain experience and a proven track record in warehouse operations. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational planning, staffing and implementation, ensuring efficiency, safety and scalability.

As the Warehouse Team Lead you will be instrumental in optimising workflow, driving productivity, and ensuring operational excellence in delivering dedicated warehouse-as-a-service to all business units operating within the facility.

Key Outcomes and Responsibilities

• Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Quality related procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team
• Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of product meets customers timescales/requirements
• Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods
• Supervise and proactively control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage
• Organise, facilitate, and manage stock takes at regular intervals
• Identify errors and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures whilst adopting the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues
• Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system to ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy
• Completing and maintaining all daily and weekly reports and logs for the warehouse.
• Ensuring that all workflow procedures and processes are followed by direct reports.
• Coaching, training, and guiding direct reports

The successful Warehouse Team Leader will receive:

• A starting salary between £30,000 to £35,000 dependent on experience
