Job summary

GE Vernova in Rugby is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead to oversee the day-to-day running of the Systems and Spares warehouse. You will lead the stores team, set priorities, and ensure safe, accurate and efficient performance while coordinating stock movements and freight.

The role involves cycle counts, stock integrity, audits with finance, using SAP or a similar WMS, and driving continuous improvement with 5S/Kaizen.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading a warehouse team in a distribution environment.
• Experience with stock management, inventory accuracy, and day-to-day warehouse processes.
• Experience with cycle counts, stock checks, wall-to-wall counts and discrepancy investigation.
• Experience coordinating carrier bookings, third-party logistics, or offsite storage.
• Experience supporting audit counts and working with finance on stock-related reports.
• SAP experience or similar inventory management system.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the Systems and Spares warehouse
• Lead and guide the stores team, setting clear priorities and supporting safe, accurate and efficient performance
• Allocate workloads across receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch
• Maintain stock integrity through cycle counts and stock checks
• Fulfil internal material requests accurately and on time
• Coordinate carrier bookings and third-party logistics activity
• Investigate stock discrepancies and resolve issues
• Support warehouse quality processes and non-conformances
• Drive continuous improvement and 5S standards across the warehouse
• Maintain a safe, well-organised warehouse with strong housekeeping and safety inspections
