Job summary

Levy Merchandising seeks a proactive Warehouse Team Manager in Wolverhampton to lead the warehouse team, ensuring safe receipt, storage and dispatch of goods while driving accuracy and service levels.

Reporting into our Warehouse Manager, you’ll coach staff, manage KPIs, uphold health and safety standards and continuously improve processes in a fast-paced distribution environment for Levy’s Merchandising division. The role offers a competitive package and benefits as part of Levy UK & Ireland.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing warehouse KPIs and performance targets.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Competency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Forklift licence (or willing to work towards securing licence).
• Experience within a fast-paced distribution, logistics, or e-commerce environment.
• Experience leading process/continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the warehouse team to deliver high levels of performance, engagement and accountability.
• Oversee the safe, efficient and accurate receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.
• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure productivity, quality and service targets are consistently achieved.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies and operational procedures.
• Monitor and manage team performance, providing coaching, feedback and development support where required.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, productivity and service delivery.
• Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through effective stock control and warehouse management practices.
• Allocate resources and workloads effectively to meet changing business demands and priorities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to support operational objectives and deliver excellent customer service.
• Promote a positive, high-performance culture that supports employee wellbeing, teamwork and business success.
• Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions to minimise errors and improve processes.
• Support recruitment, training and onboarding activities to build and maintain a skilled warehouse team.
