Job summary

Greencore is seeking a Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor at our Tamworth depot to oversee a busy warehouse team across inbound, picking and despatch activities. You will drive safe, efficient operations and ensure KPI delivery while managing a shift team on a 5-from-7 rota.

The role requires proven warehouse supervisory experience, strong leadership, and robust numeracy/literacy skills, with food safety Level 1 and health & safety Level 2 certifications preferred.

• Experience leading diverse teams.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse team to ensure inbound, picking and despatch meet safety, legal, KPI and cost targets.
• Ensure trained resource is allocated to work activities with safe equipment to execute the operational plan.
• Investigate and communicate issues affecting the operational plan.
• Participate in risk assessment, accident investigation and inspections to ensure a safe workplace.
• Ensure administrative procedures and operational information are accurate for audits.

What You'll Be Doing

Nights shift - any 5 from 7

• To provide supervision of a warehouse team ensuring consistent application of the department standards and processes that deliver the inbound, picking and despatch schedule safely, legally and meeting the operational key performance indicators and costs
• Ensure competently trained resource is allocated to work activities with safe equipment to execute the operational plan
• Investigate and communicate issues affecting the operational plan
• Actively participate in the risk assessment, accident investigation operational inspection and behavioural monitoring processes that ensures a safe workplace and operation and appropriate corrective actions
• Ensure the administrative procedures and operational information is accurate to demonstrate control in the event of an audit or investigation

What we're looking for

• Experience operating in a similar warehouse supervisory role (people management experience)
• Experience leading diverse teams
• Effective numeracy and literacy skills
• Holds a food safety level 1 certification
• Holds a health and safety level 2 certification These may be trained or developed. These do not all need to be in place at recruitment.
