Job description

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements at HMP Leyhill. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders. PLEASE NOTE: The role is based within a prison. You will be required to undergo an enhanced security vetting process if you are to be successful for this position.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

1. To manage the day-to-day operations with groups of prisoners.
2. To supervise, implement, and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence.
3. Complying with all HMP processes with regards to the management and recording of prisoner activity.
4. Ensure all KPI's and production requirements are achieved.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. Previous and practical experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment (Essential).
2. Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices.
3. Previous experience in the preparation and distribution of volume orders.
4. Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages.
5. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports.
6. Full UK driving license (Essential).
