Job summary

Recruit North Ltd in Workington is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor / Driver to run a small team and ensure exceptional customer service for customers across Cumbria. This on-site role combines warehouse management with delivery responsibilities.

You will oversee receipt, storage, and dispatch of furniture, maintain accurate inventory, and coordinate with other departments. A hands-on approach and readiness to drive a luton van are essential.

Responsibilities

• Run the warehouse and supervise a small team of staff and delivery drivers.
• Ensure customers receive exceptional service from your team.
• Deliver goods when required using a luton van.
• Oversee receipt, storage, and dispatch of furniture.
• Be hands on (this can include heavy lifting).
• Supervise a team of 4 to 5 people (including Van Drivers).
• Ensure inventory control and stock management.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Promote a positive and productive work environment.
• Ensure a safe and secure working environment for all staff and visitors.
• Ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of customer orders.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Liaise with suppliers and organise deliveries to customers.

The ideal candidate will have a background in warehouse and distribution, exceptional customer service and team leadership skills and will be someone who is very much hands on (this is not an office job!).

Your job will be to run the warehouse, supervise a small team of warehouse staff and delivery drivers and, foremost, ensure that customers receive exceptional customer service from your team.

From time to time you will also drive a luton van and deliver goods to customers.
