Genuit Group plc seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage and dispatch, ensuring efficient workflows and strict adherence to safety standards.

You will lead and train warehouse staff, coordinate with logistics and procurement, and drive productivity improvements while controlling costs. A strong focus on accuracy, organisation, and teamwork is essential for success in this role.

Responsabilidades

• Overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing and shipping products; coordinate staff accordingly.
• Enforce compliance with company policies and safety regulations to protect staff.
• Maintain inventory records, perform cycle counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Plan and allocate resources to meet daily operational targets; maximise productivity and minimise downtime.
• Train, mentor and provide feedback to warehouse staff to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with logistics and procurement to manage inbound/outbound shipments.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, organization, and quality standards.
• Resolve warehouse-related issues promptly; maintain positive employee relations.
• Prepare reports on productivity, inventory levels and shipping accuracy; provide improvement recommendations.

Role Purpose

As a warehouse supervisor, you oversee daily operations in the facility. Your role is crucial to meet productivity targets and maintain customer satisfaction. You ensure efficient processes and procedures are followed. Your attention to detail and leadership skills creates a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials, while ensuring efficient coordination amongst the staff.


• Monitoring and enforcing compliance with company policies and safety regulations to ensure the safety of all warehouse employees.


• Managing inventory, which includes maintaining accurate records, conducting cycle counts, and resolving any discrepancies.


• Effectively plan and allocate resources in order to meet daily operational requirements, maximising productivity and minimising downtime.


• Train, mentor, and provide regular feedback to warehouse staff in order to cultivate their skills and expertise, enabling them to carry out their duties with utmost efficiency.


• Work together with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to effectively manage and prioritise incoming and outgoing shipments.


• Consistently seek out opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and decrease costs.


• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with quality standards.


• Manage and resolve any warehouse-related issues or conflicts that may arise, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining positive employee relations.


• Prepare and analyse reports on warehouse operations, including productivity, inventory levels, and shipping/receiving accuracy, providing recommendations for improvement.

Hours Of Work

Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30 pm and Friday 8am to 3.30pm.

39 hours per week

Essential Criteria

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse environment.


• Experience of supervising/managing staff and delegating tasks


• Experience of delivering training


• Ability to develop, initiate and maintain systems and procedures


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Good administrative and organisational ability


• Problem solver and competent decision maker


• Full UK driving licence


• IT competent and able to use various IT platforms/systems


• Experience and knowledge of adhering to health and safety standards within a warehouse operation


• Forklift Truck operators' qualification

Desirable Criteria

• VNA Forklift Truck operators' qualification.
